Everything on your bench

One app that knows what you own, what you loaded, and what worked.

Beyond the catalog and side-by-side comparison, Scott’s Guide now runs the whole bench.

Inventory

Know what’s on the shelf.

Powders, primers, bullets, brass and loaded ammo, counted by lot, tracked by chambering, and flagged low before your next order matters.

AI Load Advisor

Ask the bench what to load tonight.

Pick a bullet and powder and get load data recommendations grounded in published manufacturer sources, scoped to the components already on your bench.

Firearms library

Every firearm knows its bullets.

Over 18,000 models with chambering, twist rate and barrel data. Compatible bullets are matched to the bore, and rounds fired tally automatically from your range log.

Scan to restock.

Point at a UPC to restock components or add a firearm. No barcode? The camera reads the box label and suggests the product.

Log the range trip.

Group size, velocity and SD per session. Rounds fired tally per firearm, and the ammo you shot comes off the shelf automatically.

Compare side-by-side.

Line up any bullets from the catalog, spot the differences, and find close matches when a favorite is discontinued or sold out.

How it works

Built around a real loading session.

Not another spreadsheet. The app follows the same loop you do: stock the bench, work up the load, shoot it, log it.

01
Stock your bench.
Scan barcodes or search the catalog to load your powders, primers, bullets and brass into inventory.
02
Add your firearms.
Pick from over 18,000 models and see which of your bullets are compatible with each bore, before you load a single round.
03
Shoot, log, repeat.
Log the range trip with group size, velocity and SD. Ammo deducts, round counts climb, and the load that worked is waiting on your bench next time.

Built to keep your bench organized, not to tell you what to load.

Scott’s Guide is an organizational and reference tool, not a load manual. Always verify any data, including AI Load Advisor responses, against current, manufacturer-published load data and recognized reloading manuals before use.

FAQ

Common questions.

What is Scott’s Guide?
A mobile app for reloaders and shooters: component inventory, a firearms library, range logging, a structured bullet catalog with side-by-side comparison, and an AI Load Advisor for informational recommendations.
Is it a load manual?
No. It organizes your bench and references specs. Always verify any information against current, manufacturer-published load data before use.
Does the barcode scanner work on components?
Yes. Scan a UPC to restock powders, primers, bullets, brass or loaded ammo, or to add a firearm. If a barcode isn’t recognized, the camera reads the box label and suggests the product.
What happens when I log a range trip?
The rounds you fired are deducted from loaded ammo, round counts accumulate on the firearm, and your session results (group size, velocity, SD) stay attached to the load.
Which platforms are supported?
iPhone, iPad and Android phones, with the same catalog and features on both.
Can it help me find a substitute bullet?
Yes. Pick a reference bullet and the app surfaces close matches by physical attributes, ranked by similarity. Especially useful when a favorite is discontinued or out of stock.
